Kit: MX648F hard-wired with SugarCube7
Carefully remove the plastic coal detailing and area.

Remove the 6pin DCC socket and strip the tender base down. Hard-wire in the MX648 and position flat along the floor.

Put the tender body back on, ensuring that the decoder is low down.

Speaker on top, insulated of course, and a new stage created to place a custom coal load.

Tender top pops off to reveal 6pin DCC socket.

Remove the socket and clean up the wires ready to hard-wire the MX648.

Chop off the PCB screw mounts.

Remove unwanted AUX wires from the decoder and re-cover with Kapton tape.

Connect pickups and motor wires.

Connect the SugarCube6 speaker.

Sit the speaker and decoder on thin double-sided tape. This kit fits in without needing to modify any of the tender body - only
the screw mounts from the original 6pin socket PCB, so is a really easy installation.

Tender body should clip back on totally flush.
