One of the easiest DCC sound installations in N gauge, we take the simplest approach here and go with a direct plug-in 6pin
MX649N decoder and a low-profile SugarCurve6 speaker, which both fit in without any hassle.
We remove the magnetic block and take out the DCC blanking plug.
The SugarCurve6 speaker is prepared by bending the tabs back, cutting short, and soldering the decoder's purple speaker wires
to those tabs, trimmed approximately to length.
Decoder plugs straight in, and speaker sits on a layer of electrical tape and double-sided tape to keep it in place and protect
from short circuits with the chassis.
Fits easily, body on, back on track, and test!
