DCC Sound to install yourself - choose which decoder you want, size of speaker, connector/plug style and of course your choice of UK loco sounds from the list below.
STEP 1: Choose your UK sound project...
All YouChoos sounds are custom-built from actual recordings of the real locos, except in a few cases where archive material has been
used, such as classes where none are preserved. In addition, some projects include personal recordings from customers who have kindly agreed
to allow us to re-use their material. None of these projects are 'generic' sounds!

STEP 2: Choose your decoder and connector...
Which decoder should I choose? Well, this depends on the scale and model you are installing into, how much space you have,
and if there are any specific features you need. Contact YouChoos if you need help.
Choose which plug or connectors you want from: NEM651 (6-pin); NEM652 (8-pin) direct or wired harness; wires-only; MTC 21-pin adapter etc. If you're not sure which you need, just ask!

STEP 3: Choose your speaker...
Prices include the CT or Zimo tiny but amazing Sugar Cube 8 ohm speaker, but for a small additional cost you can
swap this for a larger bass-reflex or large-chamber speaker - wide range available, so please contact YouChoos
to discuss what size would be best for your specific model.
STEP 4: Customise your sounds...
Although we maintain standard templates for each sound project, every decoder can be
individually configured with whatever function mapping you want, and with your choice of auxillary sound effects, ranging from whistles,
horns, engine sounds through to trackside sounds such as platform announcements. In the case of some locos, you can even choose the tone of
the engine, from clean to clunky!
Almost anything is possible, so if you have a specific sound that you would really like, just ask!
STEP 5: Place your order...
